Hi all,
I wanted to take a minute to recommend a food delivery service that I've been very happy with over the past year. http://carolinagrown.org/ Carolina Grown is not a typical CSA, where you are stuck with a box of random veggies. It is a co-op with North Carolina farmers and other food services. They use a point based system instead of "dollars", and you can purchase anything from eggs, to meats, to seasonal vegetables, and even bakery and fresh pasta items. If you go out of town or want to skip a delivery, your points roll over. As a couple of 2, the weekly $25 (50 pts) has worked great.
In Ren Park the delivery day for goods is on Friday, and your items arrive in styrofoam coolers with dry ice for frozen goods, like meats, and frozen water bottles for produce. If you check them out and sign up, please use my referral number, 917. It's always better to support local, and choose antibiotic and hormone free foods! (yeah, I'm a hippy lol)
