This month, the Garden Club will be meeting to discuss bulbs! The meeting will be held tomorrow night (Thursday, Oct. 20th) in the RenPark Business Center in the upstairs portion of the clubhouse. The meeting will begin at 7 PM! Details of the meeting are below. We hope to see you there!
This past Thursday, the Garden Club met to plan a Seed & Plant Swap within RenPark! The Swap will take place once a month, on the first of the month.
Here’s the deal:
1.) During the month, take note/gather extra plants, bulbs, cuttings or seeds you might have.
2.) Before the first of the month, email: your contact info, a “wish list” of the plants/seeds you have to share, and a list of the plants/seeds you would like to receive to John Bertke at johnbertke@gmail.com
3.) John will compile the list in a spreadsheet and email it out to the Garden Club on the first of each month!
The Garden Club also discussed potential Spring field trips for the group! Some ideas included: Broadwells Nursery, The Arboretum, WRAL Rhododendron Garden, and Plant Delights.
Our next meeting will be held on October 20th! Note: Location Change! We’ll be holding out next meeting in the RenPark Business Center above the Clubhouse, next to the Gym. See you then!

We wanted to make all of you aware of the issue and send another warning about the danger of the intersecion of Tryon Road and Junction Blvd/Illeagnes Road. This area is not safe and the potential for danger is extremely high. As a group we’ve advocated for the completion of Tryon Road Part C, the much needed repairs to Bridge 259 and the completed connection of Tryon Road through Renaissance Park. We will continue to do so and hope you will help us in our fight.
I again hate to be the barer of this tragic news but we as a community have to stay informed.
Thanks so much,
