We all know that our neighborhood has its perks – the great houses, great location and most importantly – great people. If you want to help bring more great people to our neighborhood the folks at Wakefield would like to talk to you. They are planning a to do a group photo with as many families as possible on the back deck of the Recreation Center – both upper balcony and lower on July 9th at 10AM. They will also be doing smaller groups as well for those families willing to participate. All you’ll need to do is sign a small waiver allowing them to use you photo in the next marketing campaign. If you are interested they will also be doing a shoot at the pool and video testimonials.
For more information contact Dawn Forrest at dawn@wakedev.com, (919) 779-1277 or stop by the clubhouse and see her. This should be a lot of fun and put our neighborhood’s best asset forward – the people of Renaissance Park.
Please come out and meet your neighbors for the Standard Pacific Homes Summer Kick Off this Saturday, June 25th from 12-3pm. We will have BBQ and drinks so please come by and enjoy the weather and some yard games with your neighbors. All Renaissance Park neighbors invited.
We will be set up behind the Townhome Models. Feel free to bring friends. If you have any questions, please call Shawn at 608-2575 or email him at scarter@stanpac.com.
See ya Saturday!
Where: Renaissance Park Entrances at Chapanoke and Olympia Dr
Time: 9:00 AM
Hello fellow Renaissance Park Residents! Lately I’ve noticed the large amounts of litter and trash near the entrances of our neighborhood, specifically those at Chapanoke and Olympia Dr. This is very unsightly and reflects negatively on our community. What does this tell the prospective buyers and
future community members? What about friends and family that come to visit?
Rather than wait around for the property owners or management companies to subcontract someone to clean up – someone who has no investment in this neighborhood, I suggest we get together and do it ourselves. I believe by cleaning this area up and keeping it clean, we can make the community more
appealing and it will be less inviting to those who wish to dispose of their trash at will.
I would like to organize a community clean up on Saturday, June 25th starting at 9 AM. I propose we meet in the parking lot behind the community center closest to the Olympia Dr entrance and start there. Garbage bags will be furnished and I will provide use of my truck to haul away the garbage to one of the
county collection centers. I would suggest wearing gloves, the more substantial the better, and closed toe shoes. By driving a nail into the end of an old wooden broom handle or dowl rod, you can make a fine tool to pick up trash.
Thank you and I hope to see you then!

It was a hot and steamy first Saturday in June. What was your neighborhood doing? Again this year, in the alley behind Historian Street, there was music, great food, and camaraderie. AND lots of crawfish! What fun to live in a community where residents create events to bring us together!
