Tuesday Wakefield revealed the winners of a contest to design a half-acre village green in the 1,050-home neighborhood. Three teams of two graduate students from NC State’s landscaping design program presented their designs to a panel of judges last week.

Renaissance Park, Wakefield Development Company’s first technology-driven master-planned community near Downtown Raleigh, was honored with a Gold Award for Best Digital Marketing Tool as part of the 2008 The Nationals awards program.

“The Vision DVD does a phenomenal job of capturing the essence of Renaissance Park and has been a very successful marketing tool for the community,” said John Myers, president of Wakefield Development Company. “We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts.”
