RenParkOnline.com Update

by Anthony McLeod
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
Our young neighborhood has seen a lot of good times and I know many of you would agree with me when I say I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.  We’re more than just a group of houses that share street names we are a tight knit community – a family of people that work, live and often play together.  I am writing you today because we’ve suffered another loss on Tryon Road and this one is extremely close to home.  It is heartbreaking for me to tell you that one of our neighbors lost their father from injuries sustained in a wreck leaving the neighborhood.

We wanted to make all of you aware of the issue and send another warning about the danger of the intersecion of Tryon Road and Junction Blvd/Illeagnes Road.  This area is not safe and the potential for danger is extremely high.  As a group we’ve advocated for the completion of Tryon Road Part C, the much needed repairs to Bridge 259 and the completed connection of Tryon Road through Renaissance Park. We will continue to do so and hope you will help us in our fight.

I again hate to be the barer of this tragic news but we as a community have to stay informed.

Thanks so much,

Anthony McLeod, Carol Miles, Mo Johnson, Natalie Bates and Cara McLeod

My family and I are new to the neighborhood and our sympathies go out to the familly who suffered this loss.  On a related not, being new to the neighborhood and having a one year old son, I have noticed a lot of speeding going on in the neighborhood.  This is an extremely serious issue considering there are lots of families with small kids and pets and all it takes is for one of them to jolt out into the road not knowing better before we have another tragedy.  I feel as a community, it is our responsibility to politely notify the people speeding, if possible, to please slow down.  Any suggestions to possibly help remedy this issue are greatly appreciated.  Thanks
